Nick Cannon to direct first movie: 'It will be a modern House Party'

Nick Cannon has confirmed that he is set to direct his first feature film.
The America's Got Talent host revealed that he is working with Lionsgate on a new project that he hopes will become "today's version of House Party".

"[I'm] taking a lot of the young hip-hop acts of today and putting them in a movie with a bunch of comedians, make something happen there," he told Page Six.
Cannon will juggle his movie debut alongside his hosting role on MTV's Wild 'n Out and radio show Rollin' With Nick Cannon.
The 31-year-old was hospitalised last month after undergoing emergency surgery to treat mild kidney failure.
Cannon admitted afterwards that he fell ill after having "overworked [his] body".
