Ed Westwick 'wants to play Batman'

Ed Westwick has revealed that he would love to play Batman.

The 23-year-old actor, who is best known for playing Chuck Bass in US drama series Gossip Girl, said that he has worshipped the character every since he was a child.

"It would be a dream come true to play Batman in a big blockbuster movie," Yahoo quotes Westwick as saying. "He was my childhood superhero.

"He's a damn good fighter and has access to amazing gadgets, such as the utility belt and, of course, the Batmobile - I'd give my left arm just to sit in it."

Westwick recently described his relationship with co-star Jessica Szohr as "complicated".
