Primal Scream frontman Bobby Gillespie has revealed that drugs cost him the chance to work with Kylie Minogue.
The Aussie singer asked Gillespie to write a song for her in the 90s, but his drug habit had left him incapable of producing a decent track.
"She did ask us to write a song for her once. We met her and she was f***ing lovely," Bobby told Q magazine. "This was when she was a proper pop star, in 1992 or around about then.
"However, we were too f****d up to even write a song for ourselves at that time. She has come to see us at a couple of gigs but I think the moment has now passed."
Primal Scream's ninth album Beautiful Future will be released on July 21 in the UK.
