I really love this track and quite a few others such as 'Sally' and 'Hot Mess'! I think he is just what the music industry needs right now to break the monotonous cr@p. His voice is extremely soulful and is reminiscent to UK's Omar as well as Rashaan Paterson and Prince and his music to me is a mix of 70's 80's funk, soul, new jack swing and electro. I personally can't wait to hear more, I think he is gonna be massive and some have seen him as a future Prince in terms of music and appealing to a whole range of audiences! I really hope he does x

Really boring, dull, too long and just lacking something that I can't quite put my finger on. Such a shame, cause Black & Gold is one of my favourites of the year!

I personally loved the musicality of Black and Gold, thought some of the verse lyrics were inspired, but felt somewhat let down by the "wanna get close to you, black and gold, black and gold, black and gold" chorus. 21st Century life to me seems to be a more well rounded track, funky synths, cool verses, catchy chorus. It is always hard to follow up a track like Black and Gold, though I quite like the change of direction and the naughty musical and visual nod to some of the 80's and 90's stars of old!
