John Legend has praised Andre 3000 for his contribution to new single 'Green Light'.
Legend told MTV that his collaboration with the Outkast star yielded excellent results.
He said: "Andre obviously blessed it. The tempo and the feel of the song are really perfect for Andre's style. So I felt like it was a perfect match, and then he came and gave a great verse. He really loved the song and he really wanted to do it."
Legend admitted that the single, taken from his forthcoming album Evolver, is a departure from his usual style.
He noted: "The album has a balance of up-tempo, mid-tempo and ballad songs. 'Green Light' is the most up-tempo, but there's a few other up-tempos on the record.
"There's a couple of reggae tunes, a couple of classic John Legend ballads and then a few mid-tempo songs as well."
Evolver is scheduled for release in September.
