Sam Sparro has recorded material for Basement Jaxx's fifth studio album.
The Australian singer said he recently collaborated with the dance duo on tracks which may be released before the end of the year.
"They invited me to sing on some tracks, but when I joined them in the studio I felt all silly around them," he told the Daily Star.
"They're so cool and down-to-earth, though, and they just take it all in their stride."
The 'Black And Gold' popstar added: "Hopefully the album will be out by the end of the year."
Sparro also revealed that he would like to hook-up with Gossip singer Beth Ditto in the future.
"I met her at the Glamour Awards and thought straight away that I'd love to do something with her," he said.
"I'm trying to make more time for collaborations and I think we could meet in the middle musically."
