Primal Scream nab two Vodafone gongs

Primal Scream took home two prizes at last night's Vodafone Live Music Awards.

The rock veterans secured the Outstanding Contribution To Live Music prize along with best live act at the ceremony, which took place at Carling Academy in Brixton.

DJ and producer Mark Ronson emerged victorious in the best live male category, while Kate Nash held off competition from Amy Winehouse, Duffy and Estelle to win best live female.

The ceremony, hosted by Steve Jones and Juliette Lewis, featured performances from The Ting Tings, Pussycat Dolls, Will Young and Primal Scream.

The Vodafone Live Music Awards will be broadcast on 4Music tonight at 9pm, then repeated on Channel 4 on Saturday at 10am and 11.25pm.
