Noel Gallagher has revealed that Oasis will play a "super-gig" in their hometown of Manchester in 2009.
The band's previous concerts in the Northern city included famous shows at Maine Road stadium in 1996 and the City Of Manchester Stadium in 2005.
Speaking about the band's touring schedule, Gallagher told the BBC: "We've got a super-gig planned next summer.
"Don't ask me any more questions because I can't tell you what it is. If I gave you 500 guesses, you'd never guess where it would be."
Early rumours about the destination for the gig include Old Trafford football ground and Heaton Park.
Oasis kicked off an 18-date arena tour at Liverpool's Echo Arena on Tuesday.
