The musician has been confirmed as playing at New Year events in both Glasgow and Edinburgh.
A spokesperson for the star wrote on his website: "Paolo Nutini is bursting with pride to reveal that come this New Year's Eve he'll become the first artist ever to perform at the Hogmanay celebrations in both Glasgow and Edinburgh."
The Paisley-born star is the first act confirmed for the Scottish Capital’s final gig of 2008, to take place in the Princes Street Gardens. Nutini will take to the stage at 9pm, before making the trip to Glasgow to fill the headline slot at George Square.
