Stewart gigs for free for Prince Charles

Rod Stewart will not charge Prince Charles for his performance at the royal's 60th birthday party.

The rocker will sing for free at the Prince's English countryside home Highgrove on November 15.

He will reportedly forego £1 million, his usual fee for a performance, with the gesture.

A spokesman for Prince Charles's official London residence Clarence House confirmed the news.

"The main musical entertainment at the party will be provided by Rod Stewart, who is an ambassador for the Prince's Trust," he said.

"He is giving his performance as a birthday present to the Prince."
