Nadine Coyle has claimed that going part-time will see Girls Aloud last the distance.

The singer told The Sun that having projects outside of singing will ensure band members always return to the group.

"I like to have loads of things going on at the same time. We can do whatever we want as well as being in Girls Aloud. We can always come back to the band," she said.

Coyle recently splashed out on a boutique hotel in LA to add to her growing portfolio of Californian businesses. Meanwhile, her bandmate Cheryl Cole has been busy mentoring her team on The X Factor.

The group are now preparing a spring tour on the back of their new LP Out Of Control. Tickets go on sale this Friday from 9am.
