What the hell is with every single critic. They always give nickelback bad reviews and honestly no one gives a s**t about what they think. If nickelback was so bad why would they have so many fans and be so sucessful, the music is good and so are the lyrics. Face it the whole world revolves around sex these days, nickleback are just dealing with today's issues

I have read a few too many...hmm shall I dare say...narrow minded reviews on Nickelback lately. Truly sit and LISTEN to the lyrics sometime, actually HEAR what they are saying, perhaps then, you would get it. The reason they are so successful is because they are REAL. Every song they have released speaks to someone out there. They sing about the good, the bad AND the ugly. That is life!!!, for all of us, whether you want to admit it or not. Real life isn't all smiles and sunshine. Wake up and HEAR reality.

never drank from a beer keg or been to a strip club , im also a 41 yr old women , yet i think dark horse is the best album to come out this year . ive been very lucky to have seen these guys live and cant wait to see them again . so maybe you should think before you cristise the nickelback fanbase .

Mr. Fletcher, there are bands that are far worst. It is bands like Metro Station that need your criticism/opinion. Nickelback won't ever be forgotten, and their songs will always be around. This new album is great, even if the themes are not new.

when we put our rating, are we rating the album or his review? Album = 5 stars Review = 0
Emma, France on November 25th, 2008
Well this guy clearly doesn't know what he's talking about!! I personally love the album & Nickelback, trust me... listen for yourselves & take no notice of this guys review
Jamie, Birmingham, England on November 25th, 2008
I'm baffled as to why you've said the band have no personality because in all the interviews and shows that I've seen of them, they're bursting with it. I've been studying music for 20 years now years old and to be honest, this album has the makings of a multi-platinum. They've got several already... what have you got? So in the words of Steve from Evansville, 'why dont you sit down , shut up and let the fans speak'.

okay so i was a nickelback fan when they released silver side up back in 2001 and i loved that album because it was good rock music but now there last three albums have just been hideous i mean all these awful acoustic songs, come on, they are sooo bad. "Where do these people get there rubbish from. Nickelback rock" see i find this a funny statement. I thought good music was led zep or you know eagles or even in todays world the offspring you know like people who actually have musical talent, all chad crapper is doing now is making bad music to get put on the radio to brainwash little kids who dont know what actual music is. this album has like a bunch of sex songs labeled sex and put something in your mouth, wow they are desperate for attention. There is a reason they get booed offstage kiddies

Karl, Bucks on November 23rd, 2008
Standard Nickelback stuff - listenable but nothing ground breaking. I personally enjoyed 'All The Right Reasons', despite the overly sappy 'If Everyone Cared'. I thought the rest of the album was pretty good. This is mixed. The lyrics are dirty, but that doesn't necessarily make it a bad album. They seem to have made a few tracks heavier then their previous releases, but just as listenable. It's difficult to sum it up really. But there's no way it deserves 1 star. If you're not a fan of Nickelback or any of their previous releases, then why bother reviewing it? Where's the fairness in that?
steve evansville indian on November 21st, 2008
wow you can tell writter never listens to nickelback , 1st of all the sex lyrics have always been on nickelback albums thats never changed. two who the hell cares what you think these guys will be laughing at the bank , and i resent your damp rag remark , have you met them , sat down and got a life story , doubt it ! so why dont you sit down , shut up and let the fans speak...

laura Falkirk on November 21st, 2008
Take it ur not a nickelback fan then! I actually think this is one of there best albums and no one is actually asking u 2 listen 2 it again.
Todd, England on November 20th, 2008
wow this guy has never heard limp bizcuit rap then cos chads so called rap is nothing like it, and the lyrics in some of the songs on the old album were dirty, e.g animals , and it doesn't some up the whole album cos they still have some awesome slow songs. Which is like nickelbacks old album so actually there album is good, thanks
Nickelbackfan on November 20th, 2008
This article is ridiculous. I love Nickelback's new album. It was most definitely worth the wait.
kristopher, birmingham on November 20th, 2008
I love Nickelback but I even have to admit that nickelback have kinda lost it honestly im 15 and they are trying to brain wash the young into sex at early age with this music it's dreadful to think about but... if you like to do it on the sofa and drink beer at a pub then this is the best choice for you I reckon
Mr.DudeMcPhats on November 20th, 2008
This review wins 100% just because you said "Kroeger does his best constipated-on-the-toilet vocals on 'Never Gonna Be Alone'" Honestly, I applaud you for that.
nickelback fan on November 19th, 2008
your re***ded!! by far their best album
rob, leeds on November 19th, 2008
biggest rock band ever what the hell why do people diss them they are awesome. you go listen to your sh*t and leave nickelback to produce the number 1s

After spending 3 years (!) milking their last album (and crime against humanity), Nickelback return to the studio to give us some generic post-grunge gold. Just when you thought they couldn't get any more pathetic than "Animals", along comes Something In Your Mouth, sporting lyrics about what might be necrophilia and some of the most cheese-tacular production heard since... All The Right Reasons. Just when you thought they couldn't get any sappy than they were on "If Everyone Cared", they come along with If Today Was Your Last Day and Never Gonna Be Alone. And, though Nickelback surely does not have enough integrity to "sell out", they get as close as they could get on Next Go Round and Burn It To The Ground. Both sound like Fergie's idea of a hard rock song. All in all, Nickelback brings even more shame on the dreadful, dreadful post-grunge genre (which might as well be a term that means: crappy grunge). The saddest part is that this is gonna sell like hotcakes. To anyone reading this I implore you: Look for good music! I know it's kinda hard to find among modern American rock radio and MTV, but there are always good artists making great music out there. And with the internet, there are more oppurtunities than ever to find music that you like. Help support real artists, and fight to end the slew of mass-marketed, plastic music that is made by bands like Nickelback! I promise that you can find music out there that you'll like better than this, or my name isn't SomeGuy.

Nickelback blows lol serioulsy i make better sounds on the toilet then this band does. I mean yeah their first album was okay but then they basically became a bunch of wusses sorry but this music sucks and anyone who says otherwise well like the kid below me said kids are actulaly stupid enought to listen to this sad excuse for a band's music. Well written review :)
Kevin on November 18th, 2008
So let's see....this album has actual music on it, is not screamo, rap, or techno, and to you that makes it bad. Time to get some new reviewers on this site because you obviously are only reviewing based on it being an album recorded to appeal to a large audience as being a bad thing. Grow up.
Stuart, London on November 18th, 2008
Surely a low point in musical history.
Celine on November 17th, 2008
I found this review quite like my opinion on the album. I do like Nickelback, but what the hell has happened to them? This album is really disappointing and I'm so sick of hearing all the songs today having to do with having sex. All the time. I don't understand it...
David on November 17th, 2008
The mystery of Nickelback ... ha ha. That's a silly review. If Nickelback has so many fans, the reason may be that their music is good. Think about it: the mystery can have 2 explainations: -1- so many people are stupid enough to love a so bad band... -2- you have problems with your ears and you are enable to consider Nickelback's music for what it is: just good rock music meant to have fun. I think the second solution is the right one. Now Ok... Their music is not the most intellectual music I've heard but who cares. Best song for me: "something in your mouth" (I wake up with this song everyday)... but the others are good too

Taz, London on November 17th, 2008
This band sold out a long time ago. Their songs all sound the same, they churn out these by the numbers, same old formula albums every year and they let one of their song be used on a DFS advert. How tacky is that. There are alot of bands out there who are miles better than this bunch and would never sell themselves to the highest bidder, true crap!!!!!l
jack on November 17th, 2008
where the hell did you listen too?? it's an execellent album, top, great riffs, it's not only the text, also the melody and to me it sounds awesome this album is gonna sell better en more than all the right reasons the one who wrote this don't understand much about music
Rob Francis, Basingstoke on November 17th, 2008
The worst review I've read on this site. Give them a break, they're not a bad band.
ed, kent on November 16th, 2008
Man, what is your problem? The songs are good - the album is good - and yes, it'll be successful...maybe that should tell you something about the band, and your review. Great album.
alistair ireland on November 15th, 2008
i think that everything is obviously down to opinions as i think that nickleback are great and chad kroger is very hot. but i love their music and the songs they sing they are totally deserving of their fame and i hope that it isn't the beginning of the end for them
J.D., Bama on November 15th, 2008
Whoever wrote this does not know anything about music nickelbacks new c.d. is the best to come out all year long. your probably just jealouse cause you know its going to sell way more than all the right reasons did. Nickelaback really does not make a bad song at all but you can keep on listening to justin timberlake or whatever you call good music.

Buls**t review, this album is good, get a life ****
Bethany on November 15th, 2008
Honestly, I'm getting tired of all the negativity surrounding this band. I really can't see how anyone can bash this new album - most people will like the majority of songs on the first listen-thru which to me means it's better than most stuff being released! Shame on you for thinking bashing will be better received than an actual unbiased critique of the new release!
Trent on November 14th, 2008
honesty is the best policy DigitalSpyers! A band that spends 3 years flogging 1 album? The industry at it's worst.
Andrew, Belfast on November 14th, 2008
No big fan of Nickleback, but your review is incredibly harsh. Why do you critisize the lyrics of Nickleback for being cliched, yet overlook all the nonsense that comes out of R&B acts mouths? Be consistent, please.
Josh, Portsmouth on November 14th, 2008
A fantastic album. Strong links of "The Long Road" album are in here which is great because TLR was a great underrated album.

steven from Ireland on November 14th, 2008
Its all about opinions I suppose. Im always going to disagree with this sort of review and and vice versa. Sexually lyrics is very prominent on this album, but who cares. Ever hear "Touch Too Much" by ACDC etc. Rock has always had that sort of lyrical content, as has pop and rap for that matter. But if that was all Nickelback were ever singing about then I would'nt be a fan. "If Today Was Your Last Day" is a beautiful and powerful song, that shows just how awesome a song writer Chad Kroeger really is. "Gotta be Somebody" is another great song with very uplifting lyrics. "Just To Get High" is a very touching and hard hitting song, that again shows the band have something worth saying and the guitar work, especially the solo is outstanding. The songs that you despise so much, like "S.E.X" or "Next Go Round", to me, are just great lively rockers, which is exactly what their supposed to be. Taking their lyrical contents seriously or to heart is stupid. I love the album, it is a big step up musically for the band with a engaging and fresh sound approach. Many will agree with your review, but many will also agree with mines.
