Adele has revealed that she would like to collaborate with new musicians rather than A-list stars.

The singer told BBC 6Music that she is struggling to write while on the road touring debut LP 19, adding that four of the six songs she has penned so far are "really bad".

Having recently teamed up with The Raconteurs, the 'Chasing Pavements' star said further collaborations could be on the cards.

"I kind of want to do one with Justin Timberlake or Beyoncé or Christina Aguilera or Kelis, or someone. But it's a bit inevitable and generic... doing one with a big star is expected. So I'd quite like to do one with an up-and-coming person," she said.

Adele recently lent her support to ousted X Factor contestant Laura White, describing her exit from the show as "rubbish".
