Mark Ronson has reportedly agreed to work on a new album with Elton John.

The LP will be released by Universal/Republic, according to Fox News. It will be John's first studio record since 2006's The Captain & The Kid.

Ronson recently finished producing The Rumble Strips' second LP, which is scheduled for release in spring 2009.

He is also linked to working on Slash's forthcoming solo album and confirmed last week that he was working with Amy Winehouse on a track for a Quincy Jones tribute CD.
