Walsh: 'Boyzone reunion could happen'

Louis Walsh has revealed that he is holding talks to reform nineties boyband Boyzone.

The pop manager, who was axed from The X Factor last week, insisted that the reunion will only happen if all five original members - Keith Duffy, Stephen Gately, Mikey Graham, Ronan Keating and Shane Lynch - agree.

Boyzone scored 16 hit singles in the nineties before going their separate ways in January 2000. Ronan Keating went on to launch a successful solo career and other members of the group have appeared in reality TV shows like Celebrity Big Brother and The Games.

Speaking on Al Murray's Happy Hour, Walsh said: "We're talking. It could happen. It'll only happen with the original five boys. With Take That they only had the four (but) we'd have to have the five.

He also recalled how he formed the popular boy band, saying: "I saw Take That and I basically copied them. I was walking in Soho and I was looking in a very dodgy sex shop and I saw a video with the name 'Boyzone' on it."
