The Who have given an unsigned band the opportunity of their dreams by inviting them to be the support act at the Royal Albert Hall next week.

The legendary band are playing the prestigious venue on Saturday week (March 31), as part of a series of concerts for the Teenage Cancer Trust. Roger Daltrey today announced that unknown band The Electric City will open the show.

The unsigned group caught Daltrey's eye recently whilst supporting the Futureheads at another benefit gig in Newcastle, and The Who singer was insistent that they should be given the opportunity to perform at the Albert Hall show.
