Girls Aloud to split in September?

Girls Aloud are planning their futures after deciding that they will go their separate ways in September.

Sarah Harding and Nadine Coyle have admitted that they want to launch acting careers, while Kimberley Walsh and Nicola Roberts are expected to move into the business world. Cheryl Cole will continue with pop and plans to make a solo album.

The singers launch their Greatest Hits tour in May and will then bow out with summer festival appearances before splitting.

A source told the News of the World: "The band will finish this year and all the girls are focusing on what they want to do next.

"They all feel they've done their time in a pop band and have taken it as far as they can go. Like the Spice Girls, they won't announce they've split, just that they have 'taken a break'."
