
The frontman conceded defeat after the singer's 'Beautiful Liar', with Shakira, kept 'Brianstorm' from number one following its mid-May release.
"How does a tune like 'Brianstorm' challenge Beyoncé," he told Q magazine. "For us to even get near that world with such a strange tune is a good thing.
"Beyoncé can have the number one. I've always been a fan of hers. I love her."
Turner also heaped praise on Sugababe Amelle Berrabah: "In the Comic Relief song they recorded with Girls Aloud she raised the bar."
