KT Tunstall has said that she doesn't want Thom Yorke to stop touring because of his fears about being eco-friendly.

The 'Suddenly I See' singer believes that the Radiohead star can achieve more by spreading the word about environmental issues than most other celebrities.

Tunstall told the Daily Telegraph: "I don't agree with that argument [that touring is bad for the environment]. He [Yorke] puts out less carbon output than a massive conglomerate company. And that massive conglomerate company can do nothing, or isn't interested in doing anything in raising awareness about the problem."

The singer added: "But Thom Yorke's got an incredible voice and there's no point in sabotaging that. And someone like [him], I'm like please go on tour! Because so many people will follow what you say, because they really respect you. And they know that you really know what you're talking about."

Yorke was reportedly unsure about whether to continue gigging with his band, due to concerns about the environmental damage a large scale tour may create.
