Radiohead have confirmed that their new album In Rainbows will come out on a record label.
The Oxford rockers' managers Chris Hutton and Brice Edge have revealed that the band wouldn't have the necessary "infrastructure" to release the record with major label support.
When asked whether the band were signing a deal, Hutton and Edge told Radio 4's Today: "Yes, absolutely. We've got about seven days to sort it out. We tend to fly by the seat of our pants.
"The band think they [are] incredibly proud of this record and feel that it deserves to be brought into the mass marketplace. That's why we need a record company who have that infrastructure to deliver the CD."
Commenting on the band's plans to allow fans to pay whatever price they like for the new record, Hutton said: "It's just another way of doing things. Hopefully it will motivate artists and record labels to think about things a lot more and not accept the status quo."
