She is the best singer of the group, no doubt. In the States, we haven't heard anything from her since her first album, when she had a club hit with 'I Turn To You'. I think she should have led off with the title track, my current favourite, out of 2 that I've heard. It makes a great song for adult contempo stations... ala Kelly Clarkson's Breakaway.

Agree with the writer - Mel C certainly is the best singer in the spice girls but her solo career has never really moved on from what it was back in 1999/2000. I still think sporty hasn't nearly ran that marathon yet... She really does need to discover her style because she has tried everything from rockypop to dance and still isn't set. If this song were something to look at, I don't think many people would turn their heads to be honest, but hey she's gotta make a living and I can surely think of worse.

The thing with Mel C is that she's very talented, but the last two albums have been miserable and low-key compared to her fantastic debut. She needs to take time off after the Spice Girls reunion tour for at least 18 months and come back with a really good solid album without songs about self-pity, depression and being strong. This Time is OK - the album version is the only uptempo track on the album, so it's odd that she would slow the single version down. C'mon Mel become fun again!

I don't know how you dare give Melanie C's 'This Time' 2 stars. I mean, the single is a great song and the album is great. It's worthy of more than 2 at least!!
