I agree with this review and I'm not surprised all the r*****s who think this song is good have come out of the wood work to defend their bull**** excuse for taste on here. Get back to eating your f****** McDonalds food and listening to soulless music like this you miserable ******* you.

If you guys are trying to make yourselves seem more perceptive or critical by disagreeing with the majority, it's not working.

Alex, It appears you're a touch out of touch with your readership. My advice to you (much like Boris's advice to Gordon Brown) is....find another job. Apologise is a really classy little piece of pop music in spite of Timbaland's best efforts to instill some belly and clout into it, as you somewhat condescendingly put it. Agreed, it's a little overly sentimental perhaps (what is music for afterall?), but the vocal performance and everything about the original One Republic Version is, in my view, really rather good. It has genuine sonic clarity and a sinceriy reminiscent of the best stuff from the 80s and 90s. Judging by the other comments posted and the song's burgeoning popularity (I only heard it for the first time last weekend....I do live in a cave, just like Tony Stark) it blows most of the cack floating around the UK airwaves these days well into the long grass. Regards C Griffiths

Am absolutely sure that someone with such refined taste as yourself listens to Mozart every night - but for us mere mortals this song is ace!! I love it!

i'll be honest the reviewer was negative on the one aspect of the song i think really isnt that great, Timberlands contribution. If u get a chance listen to the album version, It genuinely is 100000% better then the remix

I guess you don't like mainstream stuff, huh? Every single song topping the charts have gotten a bad review from you. I wonder why.

That's it. No more DS reviews for me. Some of the WORST reviews for singles, TV shows and movies on the web. If I took DS advice I would have missed out on some great films, TV shows and music. just stick to reporting the news guys.

WTF?! This song is...for me...one of the top 5 of 2007. Its NOTHING like Maroon 5....Now THEY are bland...I found this song very catchy, I'm still not bored of it and look forward to it being played on the radio, and I think the lead singer in this band has an amazing voice. I look forward to their future releases!

I totally disagree - this is a top tune! And the comment about the radio stations in the US...where did that come from? Obviously there will be some radio stations which play "lukewarm, sickly nonsense", but that is a gross generalization. This song has had outstanding reviews and success around the globe, so in my opinion it is more ikely that this review is the "codswallop" and not the song!

You're a f****** retard for rating it 2 stars
Chris Ward, Falkirk, SCOTLAND(orig from Dublin) on January 8th, 2008
well yer bland & bizarre critique of this simple but clever and catchy song certainly got you lots of responses....I presume that was your intention since you must be aware that the ingredients in this song are what have brought fame to many a good artist in musical history. I'm a musician, play (&teach) a number of instruments ( mainly trad although also drums) and I loved this song as soon as I heard it in a similar way to many classics from REM's Losing My Religion to ABBAs' Waterloo..(I DETEST Westlife though as they are talentless).lol....so what do YOU consider good? Anything from Louis Walsh? lol

that review is utterly disgusting...have you even listened to the song cos' if you have you wouldnt be writing horrific things like this...i think you should wake up you might actually see that One Republic is good and "Apologise" is a fantastic song....one of the best ive heard in a long time

What is it with digital spy ? Every review seems to be lucky if it even gets three stars. Get it sorted x
Sezer, Melbourne on November 23rd, 2007
This song epitomizes purity and class as stated. Open your ears. The review's focus on Timbaland and OneRepublic rather than the music is laughable.
les Fez on November 19th, 2007
Love this song, totally disagree with the digtial Spy review. Eh, each to their own though. everyone is allowed an opinion. Timbaland is certainly doing well for himself though! You were right about that.
Gavin, Cardiff on November 12th, 2007
I am starting to lose any respect I had for digitalspy reviews. This is about the tenth in a row in which I completely disagree with, and so does the MAJORITY of people. Between your music and TV reviews you look like complete amateurs who know NOTHING about what you're writing about.
