McFly want to write a Spice Girls song

McFly have revealed that they would like the Spice Girls to make a new album because they would like to write a song to be included on it.

Boyband member Tom Fletcher claimed the Spice Girls' debut LP was the first one he bought and urged them to record some new material.

He told the Daily Star: "They must do a new album. I'd like to write them a song - I'd bring back the zig-a-zig-ahh."

McFly are currently promoting their Greatest Hits album.
