Cocker loses interest in Eurovision idea

Jarvis Cocker has told people not to expect a Eurovision entry from him in 2008.

The ex-Pulp frontman had previously claimed he was tempted by the idea of representing the UK in the contest.

However, a representative for the singer has now told The Independent: "Sorry, but I wouldn't hold your breath on that one."

Cocker's decision mirrors fellow singer-songwriter Morrissey, who also said he was interested in working on a song for the competition, before he pulled out claiming the timing wasn't right.
