Brit Awards to snub Williams?

Robbie Williams will not be given any nominations at this year's Brit Awards, say reports.

According to the Mirror, the solo star will be absent from the nomination lists, which are announced next Monday.

Williams' Rudebox record made him eligible to be placed in the Best Male and Best Album category, but he is rumoured to have missed out on both.

The ceremony is allegedly favouring pop acts for this year's awards, following the success of rock bands such as Muse, The Killers and Arctic Monkeys in recent years.

A source commented: "This year there's been a resurgence in pop acts. The return of the Spice Girls and Take That has whetted everyone's appetite for fun.

"The charts have been full of serious indie bands. Babyshambles and Arctic Monkeys might get a look-in, but it's time that pop had a comeback."
