'My Conscience And I' LP
'Lights Out', the album's third single, is unlikely to buck the trend. With its heavily-produced guitar sounds, end-of-the-affair lyrics and simple, effective chorus, it winds up somewhere between an Avril ballad and a Natalie Imbruglia album track. Trouble is, there's nothing remotely distinctive about it. In an era where popstrels with personality are ten-a-penny, that's a pretty crippling design fault.
