Amy Winehouse is the most exciting thing to happen to music in a long time. There was an air of the unknown and unexpected before she was about to sing. You just weren't sure what was gonna happen. When was the last time THAT happened in the well polished machine of the music biz. She give off an honest rock rebel thing and I say its bloody good fun. On top of that.. she is a true talent who writes her own songs. She deserved the awards based on her talent.

The awards were Absolutely Deserved! And the performance was a knock-out! Well worth the wait. All the hopes that she would come through for her fans paid off! She looked healthy and one could tell there was some sass and a positive attitude in her voice/movements. As for Natalie Cole's comments, SHE shouldn't crow so loudly! It is well documented about her own "problems" of a VERY similar nature to Amy's (from her own words in her autobiography and TV bio-film)... How dare she? She should stand behind Amy rather than criticize.

I am so proud of the accomplishment of Amy Winehouse. I heard her album when I went to NY to visit my family, my sister had the cd in her car and heard and loved it. No one is perfect in their private life...Let this music continue...her incident of refusal of the Visa was a travesty, reminiscent of how people thought of rock and roll in the 60's...go Amy...

Yes, she IS brilliant & she deserves the Gongs - but 2 weeks inside a rehab centre is not long enough for Amy!! she has been in this situation before where she was 'under medical attention' as an outpatient & she didn't handle it. It seems that the Grammys have been like a point of contact for her where she would leave after her performance (whether via satellite or in person) & I think it is too soon! I was hoping her stay would be longer to further ensure her long-term well-being?? PLEASE act in her best interests *without* regard for profits!! Thanks, Selah

Amy Winehouse is a musical genius. A welcome change from the over-processed, glamorized, untalented pop stars in the music world. I salute her, and congratulate her. Her performance was perfect! And it's perfect because it was imperfect, if that makes sense. Her wobbliness on stage is totally fitting and within her musical character. And she totally deserved Album of the Year! Get better soon Amy. The music world needs talent like yours.

I was so worried about how she was going to sing at the Grammys, especially given the poor reviews she has been getting from fans at her gigs. But I needn't have worried, as she was brilliant! I was so proud of her performance, and although she was a little wobbly in places, she was passionate and showed why she is our most prized talent. The look on her face when she won was so endearing also, it almost made me forget all the negative headlines. (Almost.) I was also delighted to see she actually gave an acceptance speech, which made a change from the other disappointing occasions - and she namechecked London town!

I do and I don't. I love amy winehouse but I agree with what Natalie Cole had to say on the matter - that she really doesn't deserve to have won those awards as shes sending the wrong message with all her personal woes or the upside her next album will be lyrically interesting but im biased as I love her but in the end her talent deserved the awards not her the person.

Absoluitely not. Does the academy think she can sing? And, winning those awards competing against real artists with CLASS!!!!!

Amy deserved those awards more than anyone this year. I personally think it's a joke that Herbie Hancock beat her for album of the year but whatever. 5/6 ain't bad =] And her performance was easily the best one. I truly admire her strength.
