Flo Rida ft. T-Pain: 'Low'

'Low', a collaboration between Floridian rapper Flo Rida (see what he did there?) and Floridian R&B singer/songwriter T-Pain, has been number one in the States for the last eight weeks. Those kind of chart stats are undeniably impressive - even Rihanna's 'Umbrella' only managed seven weeks at the top - but is 'Low' deserving of its success?

In short, no. A fairly charmless ode to ladies with "big booties" who enjoy pole-dancing in nightclubs, it features lyrics so crass and uninspired even 50 Cent would turn his nose up: "I'm-a-say I prefer them [with] no clothes, I'm into that, I love women exposed." Admittedly, the Nelly-style pop-rap chorus is pretty catchy, but so are most STDs and nobody would recommend you expose yourself to those for any great length of time.
