Muse headline Royal Albert Hall

Muse singer Matt Bellamy has revealed that the band will play a show at London's Royal Albert Hall in April.

Speaking to BBC 6Music, Bellamy said: "We are doing a couple of one-offs [gigs]. For example, we're doing the Albert Hall Teenage Cancer Trust show in April, then we'll do the V Festival and a couple of other sort of 'holiday' gigs."

The band are rumoured to to be playing several large shows in the UK later this year, though Bellamy admits they will be going abroad before that.

"We're gonna do Dubai. We actually wanted to go there anyway [on holiday] but we might as well do a gig there to pay for the trip. It's the same with South America. We might go down for a sort of half-holiday and do a couple of gigs, because we have never been there before," he said.

Bellamy also revealed a world arena tour could be in the band's future.

"What inspires us is the idea maybe of doing shows like Wembley Stadium, but trying to bring it to more countries around the world. We haven't really toured at stadium level. That's something we would like to work towards."

Further details of the Albert Hall show will be announced on February 21.
