Klaxons plan to "disappear" after Brits

Klaxons have claimed that they will "disappear" from the public eye after performing at today's Brit Awards.

Singer Jamie Reynolds said the band won't be touring the UK this summer and that they will be starting work on their second album while they are away from the limelight.

He told the Press Association: "We're completely disappearing off the radar and when we come back we're going to be touring in South America and China and places that bands don't usually get to touch.

"But first and foremost, it's make a record. You won't be seeing us this summer, but we'll be back next summer.

"We've having a little rest and then we're getting our heads around our second record. We're one of those 'throw a million ideas into the pot' kind of bands and at the moment we're working all that out."

The nu-rave rockers are nominated for British Breakthrough Act and British Live Act at this year's Brits.

They revealed earlier this week that they would be performing a collaboration with Rihanna at the ceremony.
