REM playing intimate store gig

REM will play a rare intimate show at London's Apple Store next week.

The US band will mark the third anniversary of the iTunes Live From London shows by playing tracks from their upcoming album Accelerate on March 26.

Previous bands to have played in the series include Stereophonics, Supergrass and Keane. Linkin Park recently appeared live at the Apple Store in New York.

The REM gig will be held for 450 fan club members and competition winners. The show will be recorded and sold through iTunes stores.

REM's new album Accelerate is released on March 31.
