A bit harsh, DS! I think this is a pretty good tune! Definitely one of the album's best tracks.

This track is so amazing janet is definitly back with this club banger stop hatin on her just cause she sings explicit lyrics she is still a diva. I think she is a real artist whose not afraid to take risks

In my opinion this is a bad review of the song. If you compare it to some of the other R&B songs out at the moment its probably one of the best ones certainly better than touch my body or anything leona lewis has to say for herself. The whole paramedics line is a metaphor so if u take it literally then yea it sounds silly but the lyrics are actually pretty clever. Also its a very catchy song beat and melody which you'll be humming in your head all day once you've heard it

This really sounds pretty fresh to me. It's catchy, happy and has Janet's classic sweet touch front and center. I'm surprised the excellent Rock With U is not the 2nd single in the UK, though. It is killer!

ouch! I like how you didn't actually mention anything about the music in the first paragraph - very subjective

Shut up! What a stupid review. LUV is her best release in years. No one is saying you must agree, but yur biasness is ridiculous and clouds any kind of legitimacy of the review. Learn to write dumbo.
LeMarr, Brixton on April 6th, 2008
I don't know what the reviewer is listening to, but Janet Jackson's "LUV" is a great pop tune. Billboard was right to say it was like a companion of sorts to Kanye West's "Good Life". The synths on "LUV" is insane and in a good way! In fact, her new album Discipline is a perfect blend of Pop, Dance and R&B that I can't get enough of. Ms. Jackson is back!

this song is hot. not as good as feedback but still funky as all hell!

My oh my Alex, good to know that your opinion of this track is not at all biased by the "barmy antics of the Jackson family". In a world where most careers are lived in the space of 6 months, 1 album and 3 singles at best, Janet manages to inspire fans of her music and the music buying public at large to go out and spend their hard earned cash on her latest offerings, you may find it dull and and revived from the 90's but have you ever stopped to think that this is just what the musical world is holding out for? The charts these days seem to be populated with 1930's jazz bar inspired smooth vocal tracks over some mild tempo piano and guitar arrangemts, or "rock" for the norties, heavy guitar and drum with some performing arts school boy singing about the world being such an awful place, or some 90's inspired happy hardcore (cascada), and rehashed 80's tracks over a mid to high tempo dance track. Janet gives us something unique in a world of musical sameness, she offers us the safety of her mildly progressing musical tastes (a lot of what we know over a little of something new) and continues to shift records over a decade after she first came to our attention. So rather than judging her on the latest headline about her or her family's latest scandal lets look her for her music and her dedication to her fans! Maybe this track may not appeal to everybody, but as the opinions logged about your ludicrous review show, it certainly appears to those who matter, the fans (you know we folk out here that buy the CDs!).

How can this reviewer give an honest, unbiased opinion when the first paragraph of the 'review' is taken up by references to Janet's family/Superbowl incident (4 years ago!)? What this reviewer should have focused on is the excellence and originality of this song. Definitely one of the standout tracks on her unfairly overlooked new CD. It does sound bang up-to-date, and has a great summer-like feel to it. DS - please give readers the chance to read honest and unbiased reviews going forward.

That review is so unfair! How dair you base Janet's music on her family! It's supposed to be about the music. Clearly your opinion on the Jackson family is clouding your judgement. Dhanj - totally agree with you! Janet rocks, and this song is one of the best on the album!

I'm in total agreement with the reviewer which is a position I regularly find myself in. All the JJ fans are deluded. If they could bear to separate the music from the personality and maybe listen to the new Britney album they might see how exhilarating pop can be and how bad this song really is.
Lis, London on April 30th, 2008
JP - if you don't like Janet (which, clearly, you don't) stop commenting on music reviews of her music and stop dissing the fans!! Get over it you loser. Janet rocks
JP, London on May 8th, 2008
Lis you big bully! I actually have 4 JJ albums so there! Ok, I really shouldn't have said that. It just slipped out. I'm sorry. I've commited JJ treason! I like the person but not the music, Lis, don't hurt me. Ooh yeah, are you the "JP, London" imposter??? I swear I'm gonna find them! Whoever you are!
KC, New Zealand on May 16th, 2008
Wow The sad thing is hw many people dont realise that ur allowed 2 dislike a song! poor JP lol personally i didnt lik this song but if you did good for u.
