Wideboys ft. Shaznay Lewis: 'Daddy-O'

Nearly 18 months on from the botched All Saints reunion and Shaznay Lewis is the first member of the group to go solo (again). Her 2004 debut Open proved a flop, with its second single 'You' failing even to break the top 40, so the ever-confident Lewis won't be best pleased if it all goes wrong again.

Fortunately, with experienced UK garage duo Jim Sullivan & Eddie Craig on beats duties, Lewis has got her hands on a surefire hit. With its pulsating bassline, shoulder shuffle-inducing rhythm and sleek, super-speed choruses, this has Balearic smash stamped all over it. The negative? Well, it's unlikely that adding guest vocals to dance choons was what Lewis envisaged for her post-Saints career. For someone who clearly rates her own songwriting talents, this is undoubtedly a step down the pop food chain - not that that will bother us when we're busting our moves on the dancefloor.
