Radiohead won't be replicating the "pay what you like" release method of their last album In Rainbows.
Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, frontman Thom Yorke said: "I think it was a one-off response to a particular situation."
Last October, the group made In Rainbows available as a digital release and invited fans to pay whatever they wanted for it. However, Yorke feels that repeating the move for any future releases wouldn't have the same impact.
He said: "It was a one-off in terms of a story. It was one of those things where we were in the position of everyone asking us what we were going to do. I don't think it would have the same significance now anyway, if we chose to give something away again. It was a moment in time."
Several acts have tried to emulate Radiohead's online distribution plans, including Coldplay, who gave away new single 'Violet Hill' for nothing earlier this week.
