The 25-year-old, who recently hit number two in the UK singles charts, confirmed that Ronson sent him a MySpace message telling him how much he enjoyed the song.
Sparro is quoted as saying: "He did do that, yes. It was amazing. Mark's someone I've always liked and respected a lot, so it was cool to have him write to say he liked the tracks."
The Australian singer described Ronson as a "lovely guy" and was surprised by how tall he was.
"I actually only met him for the first time [face-to-face] three or four days ago. He's a lovely guy. He's very tall, but nowhere near as tall as Jamie from Klaxons. He's about 6' 4" or something. Massive!"
Sparro will play this year's T4 On The Beach festival in Weston-super-Mare, Somerset on July 20.
