She continues to fight for the right to party throughout Warrior, though it's done so with more heed than most would give her credit for. "We ain't perfect but that's alright" she growls on opening track 'Warrior' over a whirring bassline before chanting in tribal fashion on the chorus, while current single 'Die Young' encourages us to "make the most of the night like we're gonna die young". Surprisingly, it never once feels saccharine.
She confidently claims a lead co-write on almost every track, while mentors Dr Luke, Benny Blanco and Max Martin provide the hooks, of which there are often multiple within a single track. 'Crazy Kids' seamlessly melds uplifting lyrics with electro-guitar whistles and fuzzy dub, while future single 'C'mon' sounds like the sluttier sister (she calls it "c**k pop") of Katy Perry's 'Last Friday Night'.
That's not to say she's stood entirely still. 'Wonderland' hears her stripping back the auto-tune to reveal a surprisingly delicate vocal, and 'Dirty Love' is a shameless blast of chantalong glam-rock with Iggy Pop that includes the showstopping lyric: "Cockroaches do it in garbage cans/ Rug merchants do it in Afghanistan". It's not without its tawdry moments (see: 'Only Wanna Dance With You' and 'Wherever You Are') but since when did Ke$ha claim to be anything else?
