The N.E.R.D star claimed he was inspired to work with the New York indie band after teaming up with their singer Julian Casablancas on a musical tribute to Converse trainers.
"Julian Casablancas and I collaborated on something with Santogold so I'm talking to him about their next record," Williams told NME. "I want it bad!"
"I really wanna do it. I don't know [if Casablancas wants me], but I’d love to [produce the album]."
The Strokes are expected to begin work on the follow-up to 2006's First Impressions Of Earth later this year.
