Spears may perform at VMAs again

Britney Spears could be given a chance to redeem herself at the next MTV Video Music Awards.

The singer chose to make her pop comeback at the event in September last year, but her disastrous performance of 'Gimme More' was widely criticised.

Despite her lack of success last time, MTV Networks Music Group president Van Toffler has hinted that the star could be asked to perform again.

He told the AP: "Everyone deserves a second or third chance, right?"

Asked if he was joking, Toffler replied: "Sorta. Who knows?"

Britney's mother recently revealed that her daughter is planning to move back home to Louisiana.
