According to NME, a man known as 'The Ninja Ant' had planned to kill himself to protest against the war in Iraq.
As Minogue's 2000 single 'On A Night Like This' started on his MP3 player, the protestor changed his mind as he was about to stab himself in the chest.
Appearing at Southwark Crown Court to answer charges of carrying a blade without good reason or lawful authority, he said: "Thinking about it, the song was my downfall.
"How can anyone be violent when they love Kylie's music? It's not possible."
