Faces star Ian McLagan has predicted that Rod Stewart will join the band on a forthcoming reunion tour.
McLagan and the group's other surviving members Kenney Jones and Ronnie Wood are reportedly planning to make a comeback later this year. Stewart's involvement was first rumoured earlier this week when he was spotted having dinner with Wood in Mayfair.
"Rod hasn't wanted to do it for a long time," McLagan told the BBC. "He didn't see the need in it, but I think he really wants to now."
The group released four studio albums between 1970 and 1973. Wood later went on to achieve success with the Rolling Stones, while Stewart launched his solo career.
McLagan added that the band members' schedules will free up towards the end of the year, providing a rare opportunity for the project to go ahead.
"The Stones aren't going to tour for over a year so Woody has a window of opportunity; Rod has a window approaching," he explained. "My window is ever being opened and shut but I'll open that window and climb through it to work with The Faces anytime, and Kenney's up for it."
