Festival bosses scrap Fratellis' fire plans

Frontman Jon revealed that the group had hoped to incorporate a sense of danger to their set at the Scottish event today, but health and safety fears resulted in the ideas being scrapped.
"We had loads of things that we really wanted to do at T - most of it involving setting fire to stuff," Jon told the Daily Star. "We had this idea of having two huge flaming Fs at either side of the stage. You could light them and they could just go on fire, but we got told we couldn't do that.
"I wanted to set fire to Mince's drum kit as well - just throw crude lighter fuel over it and see what happens - but that got vetoed also. Guys have always got a thing about fire. I don't know why - there's a lot of fun to be had with it."
Jon recently stated that he is happy with the group's "pub band" label.
