Five weeks on top for Coldplay album
Coldplay have notched up a fifth week at the top of the albums chart with Viva La Vida.

The tally is a new personal best for Chris Martin's band, surpassing the four weeks spent at number one by previous release X&Y. Viva La Vida has now shifted around 700,000 copies, but X&Y had sold almost a million by this point, eventually going eight times platinum.

Elsewhere, US indie stars Black Kids manage a strong number five debut with Partie Traumatic, ahead of Beck, who opens at nine with Modern Guilt.
