"I've been doing some stuff for a children's film Wes Anderson is doing, an animated feature," Cocker told Time Out Chicago.
"I've written three, four songs, and some of that might become bits of the score."
Anderson's movie, which is scheduled for release in 2009, will feature the voices of George Clooney, Cate Blanchett and Bill Murray.
The former Pulp singer said earlier this week that he was hoping to release a second solo album at the beginning of 2009.
