The Fool's Gold star, who has already signed up a reggae artist, is looking for backing from larger record companies.
A source is quoted as saying: "He's looking for a distribution deal with all the major labels for his own label.
"His first artist is a reggae guy called Mishka. The album will be called Above The Bones and the first single is 'Here Comes Da Train'."
A spokesman for the star confirmed the existence of the record company but stressed that no release dates had been scheduled for any artists.
