Producers of the film, which stars Simon Pegg, approached the Welsh singer following the success of her debut album Rockferry.
A source told The Sun: "It will be a romantic number. Producers think her involvement will be great for raising the film's profile."
The track will be released as a single in October to coincide with the movie's cinema debut.
