Spears filmed a cameo for the troupe's new single 'When I Grow Up' in June, but her appearance was axed from the final cut.
However, the girl band denied rumours that they removed the footage because they were jealous or upset with the popstar.
"There are a lot of things that you do that don't necessarily make the video and that didn't, for whatever reason," Melody Thornton told Access Hollywood.
Nicole Scherzinger commented: "She came out, she did a cameo... We love her, we're all huge fans of Britney, always have been."
Jessica Sutta added: "I was personally bummed because I really like Britney."
