Arctics promise "aggressive" new album
Matt Helders, the drummer from Arctic Monkeys, has revealed that the Sheffield group's third album will be rockier than their previous efforts.

Helders told NME that the record would be in the vein of their single 'Brianstorm' and take influence from Queens Of The Stone Age.

He said: "[It's] not 'heavy metal' heavy - just more aggressive. We're all into Queens Of The Stone Age. When we got to play with them and see them live it gave us a kick up the a***.

"They are an inspiration, they show you can still have top tunes and loud, heavy songs, too. It's a lot more fun playing loud music - simple as that."

Arctic Monkeys are to begin work on their third album when frontman Alex Turner completes his tour with The Last Shadow Puppets.
