Kanye West denies working with Britney

Kanye West has denied claims that he is working with Britney Spears on her new album.

British R&B star and producer Taio Cruz, who is collaborating with Spears on the new disc, recently suggested that West was involved in the project. He also named Pharrell and Timbaland as fellow collaborators.

However, writing in his online blog in an entry entitled 'Clarity Post', Kanye insisted: "I HAVE NOT SIGNED UP 2 DO BRITNEY SPEARS MUSIC. Clarity post will be my new thing 2 de-spell all false rumours... short and sweet!"

In September last year, West publicly criticised MTV chiefs for choosing Britney to open the VMAs, insisting that the decision was ratings-driven.

Spears will work on her new album throughout the summer, her management confirmed recently. One report has suggested that Britney will use the LP to "get revenge" on those who have wronged her.
