Abba's Gold - Greatest Hits, first released in 1992, has become the oldest album to reach No.1 in the UK.

The enduringly popular hits collection, which has topped the UK albums chart on four previous occasions, has capitalised on the success of the Mamma Mia! movie in recent weeks.

It returns to the top for the first time since 1999 this week, forcing Coldplay's Viva La Vida into second position and Duffy's Rockferry into third.

Meanwhile, Kid Rock scores his first ever UK top ten album, debuting at four with Rock N Roll Jesus.
