Busking Cancer, which takes place from September 6 to 13, features bands, musicians and street artists raising funds for Cancer Research UK.
Organiser Mark Warrick told the BBC: "The launch last year was a storming success, so this year we are making it a nationwide event."
Suggs commented: "Playing music is such a joyful thing - it's the soundtrack to our lives. To do it to help anyone whose life has been touched by cancer is fantastic."
Other acts performing during the week include a Johnny Cash tribute from Glasgow, a circus artist from Rochdale and an all-girls school from London.
